Haddock has a mildly sweet taste with lean, white flesh and medium flakes. After cooking, the texture is firm yet tender. When compared to cod, haddock has a finer flake and a more tender texture with a slightly sweeter flavor.

Shatterpacks contain fish or seafood that is packed and separated with a polythene sheet. The shatterpack prevents the seafood from sticking together. The shatterpack can be struck or dropped against a hard surface to break apart individual cuts or pieces of seafood.
