Argentinian Red Shrimps - Easy Peel (EZP)

Our wild caught Argentinian red shrimp are caught in the wild just off the coasts of South America. Having fully matured, wild caught shrimp don’t have any of the stress hormones associated with their farm raised cousins and so, have a fresher flavour than most shrimps available in the market. They are currently abundantly available in the Patagonian waters off South America and as a result, they are one of the few wild shrimps available at an affordable price.

EZP means Easy Peel. The shell and tail is still on but the shell is split down the middle making it very easy to peel.

HOSO means Head on Shell On.

21/25 and other such numbers are references to size. So 21/25 means that there are 21-25 shrimp in a pound. The lower the number, the larger the shrimp.

Nice and tender

We discovered Argentinian red shrimp a few years ago and now prefer it over black tiger shrimp which we used to have. These shrimp were nice and tender and delicious. We butterflied it with the shell on and stir fry it 2 mins on each side. Perfect.
